Navigation on the Cape:

While you are here in addition to all the pleasures and knowledge you will experience from participating in our Conference you should plan some time to enjoy some of the activities offered on Cape Cod. There are over 3,900 miles of road on Cape Cod, most of which are winding two-lane road surrounded by woods, houses, marsh views of dunes and the sea or just around the corner wonderful quaint shops, restaurants, museums or some type of unique opportunity to explore and enjoy. With its Colonial roots Cape Cod has many opportunities to share insights of the traditions and styles of the New England settlers while you will find the typical activities of a vacation resort area and some distinctive experiences found only here.

Transportation around Cape Cod:

●     Limited Taxis, Uber and Lyft are available. Rental cars available in Hyannis.

●     Cape Cod Regional Transit Authority buses and shuttles follow a fixed route and set schedules.

Car & Driving on Cape Cod:

There are two main routes (Rt. 6 & Rt. 28) that run the full length of Cape Cod and in 2 hours+ you can drive along either one approximately 65 miles all the way from Bourne to Provincetown.

A third route, 6A goes the full length of the Cape but is mostly 2 lane, twisting and turning roads but will have many historical attractions, little shops and quaint places to stop.

●     For most of your travels Rt. 6 with exits to the villages and towns is the fastest way path.

●     Route 28 is a slow meandering road used more for connecting towns and villages on the South or Nantucket Sound side of the Cape.

●     Route 6A or “the Old Kings Highway” is the oldest and slowest road and is for connecting the towns and villages on the North or Cape Cod Bay side of the Cape.

●     Hyannis is in the mid-cape and within one hours+ drive to most places.

●     Most driving on the Cape is congested. Try not to make left turns across traffic.  Boston is 2 hours+ drive from Hyannis.
