Rick Barrett takes a page out of his new book, "Tai Chi, a Path for Becoming Superconscious," & offers a fun way to do this. The presentation will be a mix of theory & practical exercises designed to make the spiritual aspect of Tai Chi more real & accessible |

| Sun, Oct 25th, 10 am PT / 1 pm ET / 7 pm Paris | James McIntire | Principles of Power Development: Great looking forms without power is like a sports car with no engine. In this seminar we will examine methods to make your techniques powerful and effective with an in depth look at body mechanics, timing, and intent. Using postures and movements from the Guang Ping Yang Tai Chi sequence (as well as I-Chuan and Hsing-I), we will explore the energetic and physical principles that allow for a dynamic expression of power. We will also include transitional movements which are often overlooked but have deep applications. The ultimate goal of this seminar is to give students the tools needed to develop powerful movements while maintaining a soft and elegant flow in their Tai Chi practice. Appropriate for students of any level. |
